Building the Melody Brand & Automation

The Challenge

In the highly competitive media landscape of the 2000s, the challenge was to launch and manage a multi-channel, multi-platform media brand. This required creating a strong, consistent identity for each channel (TV and web) and building the cutting-edge technical infrastructure to run them with minimal error.

My Solution

As Technical Director, I was a core part of the founding team and was responsible for both the creative branding and the technical operations.

  • Brand Creation: I was responsible for the initial stages of the brand, creating the logos for all Melody Brands, including MelodyHits, MelodyArabia, and Melody Lebanon radio.
  • Technical Automation: I was deeply involved in building and implementing the fully automated tapeless systems for MelodyHits, MelodyArabia, MelodyDrama, and MelodyDrama 2, creating a network with a low human error rate.
  • Media Operations: I oversaw all TV and web media operations, including updating channel identities, graphics (for TV and web), and automation for all Melody channels.
  • Production: I also produced TV ads promoting regional mobile services for the network.

The Result

I successfully built and managed the technical and brand operations for one of the most iconic media groups in the region. The automated systems I helped build were foundational to the network's success. My performance in this role is detailed in a Letter of Recommendation from the General Manager.
