Architecting the WATCH IT Platform
The Challenge
The media industry was undergoing a massive shift to OTT streaming. The challenge was to conceptualize and build a new, regional SVOD platform from zero—one that required both a viable business strategy and a robust, scalable technical foundation to compete.
My Solution
As Co-Founder, I led this initiative from its earliest stages, bridging the gap between the boardroom and the server room.
- Strategic Planning: I worked directly with the Board of Directors to define the business strategy, vision, and goals for the new platform, then known as INTV.
- Technical Architecture: I personally developed the original technical specifications for the entire platform. This served as the engineering blueprint for what would become WATCH IT.
- Creative Production: With the goal and vision set, I also led the creation and production of original ideas for both the internet platform and television.
The Result
My work in developing the core business strategy and, most critically, the foundational technical specifications, was instrumental in the creation of the platform. This project, which began as INTV, evolved directly into WATCH IT, one of the largest and most successful streaming platforms in the Middle East.
